Hi there, I’m Claire!

While living in New York and working in the film and TV industry, I noticed there was a disparity in representation when it came to who was in front of and behind the camera. When I transitioned into photography, I noticed the same thing. It didn’t feel great. I wanted people who felt left out of traditional photography to be seen, to have photos of themselves that they actually wanted to look at. And capturing those photos on film (35mm, medium format, Super 8, Polaroid—you name it, I’ve probably used it), that’s the cherry on top.

When it comes to weddings, elopements, and events, I aim to capture the essence of the people and environment in my images. No two weddings are the same, so they shouldn’t look the same. I’m not interested in the classic wedding industry tactics that make people feel like they have to become a new person for the day. I prefer to focus on the humanity and creativity present. Think less strict posing and more subtle direction with an emphasis on cinematic framing and composition.

You should feel seen, safe, and heard when you’re in front of my lens or communicating with me. I aim to offer an inclusive, queer and gender-affirming presence that allows you to experience your wedding, elopement, or event with ease and excitement.

Building community is central to my work and my life, and I can’t wait to work with you to create your new favorite photos
